In celebration of its 75th anniversary, WFAA partnered with Greenspace Dallas to break ground on a brand-new nature trail. The community-focused project aims to enhance local outdoor spaces, providing residents with a scenic area to connect with nature. Construction on the trail began in April 2024, with completion estimated for September of the same year, marking a lasting environmental legacy for the station's milestone anniversary.

In celebration of its 75th anniversary, local television broadcaster WFAA has partnered with Greenspace Dallas to build a new, nearly three-mile nature trail within the Kiest Conservation Area. Funded by a $75,000 grant from WFAA's parent company, the TEGNA Foundation, the project expands an existing half-mile trail and will feature wildflowers, native prairie grass fields, an educational kiosk, interactive markers, and benches. Supported by the Friends of Oak Cliff, the trail aims to enhance the quality of life for North Texans and is anticipated to open with a trailhead ribbon-cutting ceremony in September 2024.
